TELEMEDICINE PRECEPTING
Telemedicine Teaching Opportunities
Telemedicine continues to evolve beyond patient care alone, creating new opportunities for experienced providers to support and mentor the next generation of clinicians. Teaching and precepting in a virtual environment allows providers to stay clinically engaged while helping shape how telemedicine
is practiced in the future.

The opportunity below highlights an organization whose mission aligns closely with the growth of telemedicine education and expanding access to real-world clinical learning experiences.
MomentMD

MomentMD is a telemedicine platform focused on expanding access to care while also creating meaningful clinical learning opportunities for healthcare students. In addition to providing virtual care services, the platform allows experienced providers to participate as preceptors, helping nurse practitioner and medical students gain exposure to real-world telemedicine practice.

I had the opportunity to connect with one of the founders several years ago and have continued to follow their work closely. Their mission to integrate telemedicine into university training programs is something I strongly support, especially as virtual care becomes an essential part of modern healthcare.

Telemedicine is no longer a temporary shift — it is part of the future of clinical practice. For providers with telemedicine experience who are interested in teaching, mentoring, and contributing to the development of future clinicians, this can be a meaningful way to stay involved while giving back to the profession.

Note: Precepting opportunities typically require prior clinical and telemedicine experience.
